The Story So Far

In November I discovered that in my opinion project management software had 2 major issues:

• Project management software is designed for agencies and not clients.
• Project management ends up costing more than the actual building of web projects.

Overall, with these 2 truths it has become clear to me that we need to reevaluate project management software. That has lead me to start thinking how do we transform project management software.

Around the same time, I also had to start thinking about what framework this software would run on. Basically I wanted a modern framework so I decided to build it in Rails.

Goals

By March my goal is to have a full prototype, a business plan, and full outline of the project. We plan to finish raising money by June, and have the project launched by October.

Really this has been deeply influenced by the few meetings I have attended of a small group called motms, and from my years of experience dealing with webprojects. More later on this project.

The final goal is to transform project management software. Now to just finalize the prototype…..
